Job Description
Supervisor:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Dining Room during assigned shift. Ensures the maintenance and execution of standards services meet and exceed guests' expectations. Maintains a cordial, refined and professional atmosphere of hospitality and consideration for The Grove Park Inn guests and employees alike. Motivates staff and encourages team effort. Insures the highest standard of service and product at all times. Provides an environment of open communication among staff and quick adaptation to the demands of business. Desired candidate must be personable, articulate, well groomed and organized. Should be highly service oriented, possess excellent people skills and be knowledgeable of proper food and beverage service standards, methods of preparation and possess basic wine and beverage knowledge. Computer skills are required, and working knowledge of Excel, GroupWise and SMS Property Management system are a plus. Should be able to understand the Resort's objectives and have the potential to achieve employee and departmental goals, as well as assist other in reaching theirs. Must be at least 21 years old. A minimum of 4 years prior experience in resort operations and or customer service required. Schedule varies. Excellent benefits package. Full-time. Days and hours will vary. Weekend and holiday work is required. Salary depends on experience.
