Tommy Bahama, the purveyor of island lifestyles, is looking for a qualified VP of Direct to join our team. MISSION Responsible for the positioning and ongoing success of Tommy Bahama’s eCommerce website, including , business strategy, site development and design, web analytics and user experience, supply chain management, online merchandising and marketing, operations management, and business unit sales and profit objectives. Overall responsibility for running the eCommerce business in complement of other business channels (wholesale, retail) in order to further develop and reinforce Tommy Bahama Group, Inc. product success and relationship with the consumer. Responsible for developing and launching TB Catalog business. KEY RESULTS AREAS • Work closely with business and technical experts at all levels and across the organization to develop and implement ongoing direct to consumer. • Facilitate the translation of the diverse channel and business requirements into technical solutions that meet the operational priorities of security, scalability, reliability, supportability, and efficiency. • Have a hands on approach to management of deliverables and keeping within scope and budget. • Oversee multiple projects ranging from small single release deployments to large, high-profile, cross-team initiatives. • Identify critical communication and work-flow issues and develop more efficient processes. • Lead the identification and capitalization of emerging knowledge and eCommerce trends. • Conduct meetings and interact regularly with large groups of cross-functional players. • Work with technical team to ensure that website technology, structure, organization, design and functionality are customer driven, user-centric and metrics-based. • Work with technical and marketing team to establish and refine site and performance metrics that will drive the business. • Manage the resolution of live-site operational issues. • Establish content strategy and execution schedule that both supports and drives key metrics. • Work with sales/wholesale operations within the framework of the larger brands/products promotions calendars. Continually monitors strategies to meet budget parameters, and alters strategies in season to respond to opportunities and/or threats to sales and profitability. • Ensures direct to consumer strategies and product flow are supported by the supply chain and fulfillment processes. • Manage the development of best-practice online marketing programs: site marketing, outbound email list development and content/offer contact strategy, data feed strategy and execution, aggregator shopping presence, content development and partnerships, CPM-based network advertising, affiliate marketing, CPC/PFP-based key word program management and search engine optimization. • Coordinate online broad scale and direct marketing initiatives. EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND EDUCATION • Direct experience running an direct to consumer business is required. • BA/BS degree required, preferably with a focus on business, technical or related disciplines. • Hands-on experience with Google Search and analytics. • Multi-channel experience preferred (retail, wholesale, catalog, eCommerce) • Prior experience with launching a business to direct to consumer site required. • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and delivering them on schedule. • Expertise in Project Management best practices in an Internet environment. • Strong understanding of web-based product development and operations. • Experience collaborating between business and technical development groups. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft software products, including MS Project, Visio, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Strong writer with excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to lead and motivate a small team. • Knowledge of information and Internet security; PCI and Sarbanes-Oxley experience a plus Tommy Bahama is full of smart, creative islanders.
