Job Description
Tommy Bahama defines elegant tropical living with men's and women's fashions, denim, swimwear, accessories and a complete home furnishings collection. Tommy Bahama, the purveyor of island lifestyles, is looking for a qualified Planner to join our ECommerce team.
MISSION
The e-Commerce Merchandise Planner is responsible for developing, executing, and communicating strategic merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of the Company’s e-Commerce Division. Drive financial results thru maximizing sales, inventory productivity and monitoring bottom line profitability.
Sales Planning
• Develop Monthly Div/Dept/Key Classification sales plans.
• Develop monthly financial plan including margin in conjunction with tops down direction from the Director of Ecommerce.
• Develop monthly sales and inventory plans for core styles and flow inventory monthly to support sales.
• Partner with the ecommerce buy team to develop growth strategies by style/classification to support sales plans.
Inventory Management/OTB
• Develop Monthly Div/Dept/Key Classification inventory plan to achieve agreed upon service levels and inventory productivity.
• Develop monthly OTB and review monthly with management identifying issues and solutions to resolve those issues
• Develop monthly Outlet transfer plan and communicate current forecast monthly to Outlet Manager.
• Review style performance weekly and communicate needs/issues to Retail, Wholesale, and Outlet partners.
Sales Analysis
• Develop alert reporting to identify sales and inventory issues daily/weekly.
• Develop an understanding and expertise of ecommerce sales curves, TB consumer on-line shopping behavior, impact of email campaigns, and other ecommerce specific sales influencers.
• Provide Ecommerce merchants with continual update of style/class/dept performance.
• Manage daily inventory decisions.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
• Minimum 3-5 years of retail merchandising experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant planning experience, e-Commerce experience planning strongly preferred
• Knowledge of buying and planning practices, related industry product knowledge.
• Inventory management, gross margin control, working knowledge of retail math, previous allocation/planning systems.
• Strong Excel experience
• Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on all areas of responsibility
• Able to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams
• Effective negotiation and influencing skills with both peers and business partners
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Proven ability to proactively identify business issues and develop creative solutions
